Randonnée nocturne sur la côte jurassique
There is so little time or opportunity nowadays to experience the countryside and coast at night, away from the blinding glare of street lights and vehicles. My Night Hike on the Jurassic Coast takes you to a quiet part of coastline that is completely free of all light pollution and rich in wildlife. We will follow well maintained tracks and paths from the village of Worth Matravers in Purbeck along the ancient Priests Way and down winding valleys to the wave-washed rocks at Seacombe or Winspit Coves. From here we walk along a fenced clifftop path back to the Square and Compass pub in Worth Matravers and on the way I tell tales of the shipwrecked sailors and smugglers that haunt the surrounding cliffs and valleys Along the way there is a possibility of seeing a variety of nocturnal wildlife such as deer, badgers, bats and owls. If we are lucky the sky will be clear of clouds and we can enjoy some wonderful star gazing. Other things to note The route follows well maintained paths and tracks for the entire route but it is often VERY muddy and slippery so please bring suitable footwear with good grippy soles. Bright and comfortable head torches can be provided but bring you own if you wish.
Buvez un thé avec les alpagas
You will be warmly greeted and shown to your picnic table (in the winter months you can eat in our cosy warm cabin) ready to meet the Alpacas. This is an afternoon tea with a difference, you will enjoy a short talk by your host on alpacas so you learn a bit about them, then you will be able to enjoy your afternoon tea whilst the alpacas graze close by. This will consist of a selection of sandwiches and cakes and a pot of tea or coffee. You will be able to enjoy your afternoon tea with the alpacas as they will graze right up close to your table so keep an eye on your cake! A great opportunity to take photos, get to know more about Alpacas whilst enjoying an afternoon tea. This is in a peaceful setting so a chance to relax away from crowds, enjoy some quiet time and be close to nature with Alpacas for company. After your afternoon tea you will be able to feed the alpacas so this is a unique experience and so much more than just an afternoon tea. Other things to note In the winter months, you will be able to eat in our warm and cosy cabin. Afterwards you will be able to feed our alpacas. Promenade pleine conscience avec des alpagas
A warm welcome awaits. We will start by talking about some interesting facts about Alpacas. You will meet the Alpacas while I get them ready with their lead ropes and we will have a talk about how to be around them and their different temperaments. Once they are all ready to go, you will be given an Alpaca to walk around our fields. The experience is about spending time with these lovely alpacas as well as a walk. Remember to bring your camera to take photos so you have a memory to keep. Once we have had our walk, maybe stopping a few times to let the Alpacas graze, we will arrive back for a chance to take more photos and give the Alpacas some treats as a thank you to them. This is a nice opportunity to be able to be really close to them and have some selfies. You will then have a choice of Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, or squash and some biscuits and a chat about your experience . We are a small private farm so no crowds, just our family home with our animals for you to enjoy. Other things to note Everyone should be confident walkers over bumpy/muddy ground. Children under 8 can share an alpaca with an adult. The walk is at a slow pace as the Alpacas like to graze along the way.
Promenade à Halnaker : tunnel sous les arbres et moulin à vent
Join me on a leisurely 4-mile walk (lasting 2 to 2.5 hours) through the beautiful Sussex countryside, into the South Downs National Park via an ancient hollow way following in the footsteps of Romans, commoners and a king fleeing for his life! We'll start our walk in a village just a ten-minute drive (20-minute by bus) north of Chichester, passing through vineyards, farmland and a beautiful tunnel of trees. After a short walk uphill, we'll see the restored windmill and have time to admire the 360° views of the Sussex countryside. The Isle of Wight can be seen from here on a clear day. Learn about Boxgrove Man, the oldest human remains ever found in England, a Neolithic settlement and see WWII radio direction-finding structures. Hear local folktales and learn a little Sussex dialect. Depending on the time of year, we may see a range of butterflies and birds, including buzzards and skylarks and, if we are very lucky, we may see some deer. Chichester is the nearest railway station. There is a regular bus service from there to the meeting point. Other things to note: This is an easy walk but it is not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties due to several stiles on the route. The route can be very muddy after rain. Alternative times/and dates are possible on request. There are no public toilets in the village. Parking is available at the meeting point.

Aventure en famille : promenade nocturne
This is a fun and adventurous exploration of the countryside and coastline of Purbeck. It is made all the more exciting by venturing forth after dark though no need to be afraid as this adventure makes being out at night fun and enjoyable. Our adventure starts in the quaint village of Worth Matravers but we are soon heading off the beaten track via the ancient Priests Way. I can take you to a quarry where a series of amazing dinosaur footprint fossils can be seen by torchlight (or moonlight!); at night we can imagine that the dinosaurs are still lurking in the shadows before we discover the secretive Seacombe Valley. This valley is a real wildlife haven and depending on the time of year we can often spot deer, foxes, badgers, bats and even glow worms. To help us spot the wildlife we will play some great listening, watching and silent walking games. Finally we reach the sea and explore the deserted quarries at Seacombe Cove, a past haunt of smugglers and still inhabited by the ghosts of shipwrecked sailors. If we are lucky and the sky is clear of clouds then the stargazing is amazing as we are miles from any street lights and light pollution. From here we retrace our steps up part of the valley before the final steep hill back to our starting point in the village.

Firstly the students choose a painting from my collection (everyone paints the same ) After my initial introduction, we have a practice on an old canvas, when I show you how to use the brushes to create the painting, to get familiar with the materials. We then change to a brand new canvas (20 x 16 inches) and I teach you slowly starting with the sky, and layer by layer to build up the painting till it is finished. I will give everyone all the time needed to produce a painting that will astound yourself and your friends. I can teach anyone to paint. Even if you've only ever painted doors and skirting boards before. The Bob Ross method of painting is simple to understand and the first time you do it, you can get a fantastic result. I supply all the materials needed including plastic aprons, tea and coffees and gentle music! It's a very relaxed atmosphere of having fun while learning to paint. The time limit is not strict as some people need more time, which is no problem, as I believe that this is your day, and if that means more time, its OK with me PLEASE BE AWARE, I will take everyones temperature with my new infra red thermometer. If you have a high temperature YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO JOIN US FOR THE PAINTING SESSION. You will receive your payment back from Air B&B Due to COVID 19 I have lowered my class to 2 people, but contact me I can do 4 people from same bubble. Other things to note Wear old clothes as paint can jump and bring a snack to eat for lunch. If you are looking for another date, (other that Wednesdays) you can always ask. Bees Naturally
Bees Naturally Spend a morning in a cottage garden on the South Downs learning about bees. Natural beekeeping is a bee centred approach with minimal intervention. My bees build their own comb and survive without chemical treatments or additional feeding. The bees live in Warré hives surrounded by cottage garden plants. I do take small amounts of honey but only after checking that the bees have sufficient stores for themselves. Visitors will be able to taste the raw untreated honey. During the session we will explore the life of the honey bee and how you can support their survival. We will spend time observing the bees as they go about their lives and will also look for other species of wild bee in the garden. The garden features bee friendly plants that are suitable for almost every situation . Visitors will be able to look at the construction of the hive and how the bees use it. Please note we will not be opening up the hive and I do not have honey for sale. Visitors should avoid wearing strong perfume or very dark clothing (bees equate black with bears!)

New Forest : marche consciente hors des sentiers battus
We will meet at our cottage in the heart of the New forest national park. As we walk off of the beaten track you will sense the awesome beauty and solace of the ancient forest. A favourite route mine is one that i have carved out over the past few years. Decending gently downhill through the trees we come out into an opening where an old oak stands alone, the perfect place to stop for a photo or just to view the scene. Next there is a stream to cross and as we get to the other side, we may pause to listen to the moving water and mini waterfalls. Following the water course we will soon climb gently again to our next stop. "The cathedral" i call this space, it's certainly a place to embrace, a space to be still and to just listen. I can bring some mindful music to help us in this moment of stillness. Its hard to leave such a moment but we must continue on our circular route heading back to where we first began. We may spot Sika, Roe or Fallow Deer hiding out in the trees, or see New forest ponies and donkeys on route and in autumn the pigs foraging for acorns. The walk will be a circular walk and our main aim is for you to feel relaxed and to be mindful along the way. Theres no pressure to make small talk but instead to bring your authentic self, just as you are and enjoy. Allie ( & Eric )

Expérience primée de lancer de haches à Southampton
After a warm welcome to our throwing cages we'll jump right into a safety briefing. This covers how to stay safe, scoring and competition rules (we can't have any cheating at crunch time can we?). Then it is to the reason you guys are all here, the AXES. We'll run through the basic technique, how to hold and how to throw the axe. Once we're through this, it is down to you to have a go! Once the basics are out of the way it's quickly onto a wide selection of new throws, double-handed, throwing with the axe head facing backwards, throwing 2 axes at once. These will all help you to develop a strong technique in time for our rapid fire round and then ..the team COMPETITON! Pit your skills against the others in your group, competition mode always brings out some strong axe game! Finally, If we have any time left over at the end I'll show you a trick shot or two that only the pro's get to use Other things to note We are unable to accept bookings from those under 16 years of age or pregnant.
